Moley's Monthly March '08

Welcome to the 2nd edition of Moley’s monthly. February has seen all three teams go from strength to strength on the pitch with the club suffering just one defeat during the whole month. This fantastic form has continues off the pitch and ASIB on the web and the website is seeing the club transform itself into a global force.

Ok so I may be exaggerating slightly… well considerably; but I found a look at the clubs website stats to be pretty interesting reading (NERD). The stats for the last month can be seen below and as well as the expected high percentage of UK hits we are also receiving 35% of our hits from our comrades in arms over in the US as well as less significant figures from many other countries across the globe. While I don’t want to add any pressure to anyone I think I need to stress that there is a poor little South Korean kid hoping for a Star win on a Saturday and none of us want to let him down do we?

The Global Club – who is looking at a StarFootballClub.com?

I also received a number of emails from the US including some from players who want to play for us and attach a video to show their skills. One good looking lad seemed pretty decent especially from dead balls but to be honest the standard he was playing at did not look up to much and he wanted a £400million hairstyling allowance. After a bit of consideration I just binned the mail because if Star had been prepared to pay that to him then Lozynsky would have soon chucked his toys out the pram.

We have also received a lot of hits and mail from the San Francisco region where readers seem particularly interested in the Mr February page. Sadly I cannot print the contents of the emails on what is essentially a respectable website but I can tell you that a Mr Javier Soranus was very keen to know how many goals the 2nds let in each week…… At least that is what I think he meant when he asked whether Mark bent over a lot and did he have any photos.

What did Star players get up to on Valentines Day?

Well it seems we treated our true loves to a tour around the Star website because as the above chart shows February 14th was the most popular day to visit the clubs site. In future years I will make sure the site is better prepared and will be creating a Star themed Valentines card to download and print so Valentines Day can be completely Star shaped.

Thanks to Si Delaney for the lookalike. If anyone wants to suggest a lookalike then please send to the address on the index page.

And Finally Speaking of Si Delaney….

If any of you watched/listened to Ireland play Brazil (I know I did) you may have noticed the Irish have chosen a particularly harsh scapegoat for their recent problems as the following chant shows….

"Don't blame it on Staunton, don't blame it on Given, don't blame it on Keano, blame it on Delaney."
