Joining Star FC
Membership of Star Football Club is open to everyone and is governed by the clauses and conditions contained within the Club's constitution.  This is a document that now runs to some 30 pages and which covers matters such as Equity, Club administration and pricing policies and Grievances and Discipline.  A copy of the club constitution is available on application to the Club Secretary, Matt Harvey, for any one who actually wants to study it in depth.
Joining the club is straightforward but all prospective new members should please make contact with Matt Harvey before proceeding further, just to make sure that becoming a member of Star FC is right for them as an individual.  Matt will be able to provide further details of the club's current playing strength as well as other matters that relate to the manner in which the club is run.  Anyone who feels that they might want to join the club should contact Matt Harvey in the first instance with any questions they feel that they might have.
Membership of the club runs from May 1st to April 30th the following year.  Details of current rates are available from the club Secretary, although this is discounted by £10 for memberships that are renewed at the Club's AGM and by £5 for renewals that are submitted after the AGM but before the first Cheltenham League match of the following season.
Membership of the club entitles each person to the following benefits.
  1. Free Training
  2. Registration with each League in which the club competes.
  3. Consideration for each of the club's squads on a monthly basis
  4. Consideration for each of the club's teams on a weekly basis, in accordance with the club's selection policy.
  5. Inclusion in all the club's social activities, including the free food provided after matches at the Club's Headquarters, The Farmers.
  6. Invitation to all club General Meetings

In addition, at the beginning of the 2008-09 season, the club reintroduced Associate Membership, for the benefit of those people who want to attend the club's training sessions but who do not, necessarily, have any intention of playing for the club competitively.  For these persons, Associate Membership is now available to cover the whole season, from the beginning of pre-season training in the middle of July, to the end of regular training, on the astro turf and under the floodlights at Christs College, every Tuesday until the end of March.  Once again, further details are available from Club Secretary, Matt Harvey, and a copy of the Associate Membership form can be obtained by following the link below.
